In the chestnut
Of your eyes
I feel like a child
Sitting feeling
Around in the muddy,
Rich and warm
Brown of your soul,
A playground
For my spirit free,
Loose on plaid fields
Dark plains a mystery,
I feel the veneer of you
Like sleek mahogany,
And still I have been
But just in the rings
Of your intriguing orbs
Glossed in the sunsets
Bronzed sunrises awaiting
For a cheerful welcome,
I'm interrupted by your smile...
