De crusted bread, as
refined white flour
was once the sign of
opulence and indeed
it was, but it's also what
caused the demise of the
aristocracy and the illusion
of that blue vein pallor
which the peasants assumed
to be their royal blood, when
in fact it was the lack of husks
bringing on eventual anaemia.
