As I softly ponder on the depth of beauty
This life offers us
I find myself most grateful for

The crinkle of book pages
The chorus of crickets at night
The moon in its various phases
Painful lessons that made me wiser
Gravity, pulling our feet to earth, suspending planets, pulling astronomical bodies in orbit around each other
Poetry
Shallow breathes of children as they sleep
Quiet, contrite spirits
The reconciliation forgiveness brings
The crunch of gravel underfoot
Mysteries
Weeping willows
Actions that speak louder than words
The color jade
Condensation rolling off warm shower curtains
Individuality
Warm hands holding mine
Studying new things
Kind people
Flamboyant red and pink sunsets
And deep, bellowing laughs felt from the soul
