The compass turns
spinning around to find its correct course
and where the arrow points
we follow

I close my eyes
stretch out my arm, finger pointing straight
I turn
Spin
Laugh
and eventually
fall from dizziness
Still my finger points
directly at the path I did not want to take
but even my silliness knew it was the correct course

Sometimes it pays to be childish
