Dec 2018
i see water flowing
i hear birds calling
longing for more
than this rotten shore
waiting for better days
rafts made from balsam
bound by coconut fibers
held together despite the waves

dance little dancer
work yourself into a rage
are you the answer
after all these questions
have we ever even seen the page

plants in the garden
talking nonsense
the grass is growing taller
and taller every day

the bee keeper
used to be a seeker
but now he’s found his way
longing for love
is pointless
wasting time only serves
to push it further away

young women come closer
hold your skirts a little tighter
your smiles and your tears
are really all the same
to me
