Yes, I’m a bit creaky
These old bones can get stiff
Not ready for a cane, though
I could probably take a hit
Which I tend to avoid and can
In as much I’m usually packing heat
I can’t give up
I love my job
The private detective
Still working the street
Corporate espionage troubling ya?
I know what to do
Kept up with the forensics
And the old leather shoe
I got charm to use when
I’m foraging for clues
I’ll take ‘em on a date sometimes
I’m still single, you never know
Could wind up a long-term cruise

I started the PDI, Private Detectives International
A loose affiliation of private *****
Got chapters around the world
We have yearly conventions
Next one in Hangszhou
We tell stories, drink, generally hang out
It ain’t like in the movies
Not all derring-do
Still, it’s a life of danger
That’s what I do
