Exit Wound
I hated him for denying me
a fight
leaving in the morning
like a dream
through the slightly open window
and rippling curtains
There is a comfort in shouting
words bouncing off the walls
like bullets
I wanted to give him
an exit wound
but I turned over to find
an empty pillow
