Angst, suffering, anguish,
The birth of many monumental works.

Contentment, settled, confidence,
The death of meaningful poetry.

Poets long for contentment,
I have a loving wife and kids.

Poets aim to find the eye of the hurricane,
I love my career, twenty years now.

Poets strive for confidence,
Something to search for.

Angst, suffering, anguish,
Why do I lack confidence?

Thank God,
Something to write about.
I was lamenting the lack of turmoil in my life. My poetry was better when I was full of angst. I'm basically shaming myself for not being happy with happiness. Messed up I know.
