Untitled 42
The grass is wet and warm
from last night’s storm,
dangerously slick
but there are certain spots
where my heel still sticks.
Places where it
takes a little effort
to free myself.
There are vines
of people and time
that intertwine
with my intentions,
sometimes for the better
other times
for stuff
I'd rather not mention.
But no matter
when or where I am
there is always
something pulling,
deep and urging
like the tides
that are calling
my sea body
back to salt water.
I try to stay,
talk and play
with those I love
but there is just
something
that makes me
need to be
moving
even though
it might be
extremely lonely.
