Let me be the breath from your lungs
So I can take your breath away

Let me be the antagonist in your fable
So I can show you pain

Let me be the hand that caresses your hair
So I can show you love

Let me be the embers in your smouldering flames
So I can keep you warm

You are the whiskey in my glass, the cigarette in my mouth;
The winter blues in my heart
And the hurt in my soul.
