Everything in
this moment
begins to
form around
your eyes,

like a child
before Christmas
or a
birds trembling
at first flight.

you bring
anticipation
to this moment
and the next.

and the
sunlight
jumps in
sparks from
your tangled
angel hair,

and if
not for
the eternity
of you,

this life
would hardly
be worth
living,

and your
smile is
without
explanation
and everything
that you
are is
a miracle to
everyone who
is around
you.

for now
I have been
caught in the
glimpse of
you and now I
understand.

you are
a gypsy on
the wind,

whose soul
runs restlessly
wild

and though
your stay
may be short.

to not live
these moments
with you
at all,

would certainly
of been the
definition
of a poet's heart
broken in
two.

and I
don't know
if I ever
could of
handled
that.
