Going through it
Getting through it
Light that I can see

A whistle, a missile
Coming at full speed
I take a step onto the tracks
Not sure of where it leads
Must make a decision fast
What’s it going to be?

I faced the train, In the pouring rain
I’ve conceded all my rights
To play the game
Or live in shame
Will I live or die?

I scream out loud
To a silent crowd
Leave them wondering why
How can I explain myself
To an evanescent try

Don’t give up, or give in
The talent that’s inside
It’s not too dark
It’s not too bright
Awoken by the mornings light

I fought to be the champion
The will to live in spite
With every breath that I take
Leaves me naked and benign
