So you got your degree?
In no way are you smarter than me?
You can go to Harvard, Vanderbilt, and Yale.

They only look good to certain people.
You can speak the greatest vernacular.
And still, you're not smarter than me.
You can be a judge giving your opinion of me.

We all know certain professions requires you be suited with a degree.

And you might excel to the top.
And like many at the bottom.
We all know the saying, you still not smarter than me.

Through reading comes knowledge.
Through life comes wisdom.
And for this you need no degree.

Do you hear me?
