I think it’s worth stating
Love’s about communicating
Through the trials and tribulations
Not manning battle stations
If we’re looking for a perk
We must put in the work
Then love will see us through
And reward me and you

Love’s not overrated
But it can be complicated
I’m so glad we waited
For the love anticipated
And let me also state
Cuz we can both relate
It’s been well worth the wait
Our love didn’t dissipate

Despite concerns and fears
Though at times there were some tears
Just the way that it appears
Love grew stronger through the years
See it really comes to this
The rewards outweigh the risks
As long as we’re not remiss
Love will offer us its bliss

What you also need to know
Is how deep it can go
When you reap the love you sow
There’s a certain afterglow
And whatever you put in
You can take back out again
And can even multiply
When you're reaching for the sky
