Little Annoyances
Twas the night, the night
I could not sleep, through
thy gentle eye, my iris's
would peek, and sing
a lovely song, that puts me to sleep.
A melody so charming, I think
It's time I dream, of all those
sheep, and they dance about
my head; 98..97..96....almost to bed.
Those persnickety little voices, just wont
hush up, it seems I can't find
the mute button.
Just my luck
