Evil is as evil does
That’s the way it always was
It’s latest manifestation
Involves us a nation
As the President
Summarily divorces
Immigrants
Who joined the armed forces

They placed their lives
On the line
For the path to citizenship
They hoped to find
In this country
That they love
Now push unfortunately
Has turned to shove

Their quest for citizenship
Sadly denied
Because obviously
Somebody lied
About the promise
They cannot hide
So is it fair?
I’ll let you decide

The President
Seems to be hellbent
On promoting
His anti-immigrant sentiment
Especially if they’re
Brown or black
And that’s
An unmitigated fact
