The gleaners had already been, bins pillaged, cats were gone also, time for the rats!

But; before them, came Tariq and his inseparable friend Halil, a pair of local hobo's from Istanbul.

Halil was the smarter of the two, yet co-dependant on Tariq, who was
bigger and quite ferocious looking.

While rummaging outside a restaurant, a local take away scooter passed and dropped a roasted chicken, by accident.

Halil was on to it in a flash. Off they went to the local park bench to
devour their poulet roti.

A feast fit for a Sultan remarked Tariq as he ripped succulent strands off the breast bone while licking his ***** fingers with enthusiasm.

The stray dog that almost got to the chicken initially, followed them and was rewarded with the discarded pieces from Halil.

Finally, they got to the wishbone and Halil suggested that they should invest in the future by making a wish!

Another street dog (one seen earlier playing with the first) arrived on
the scene, where there were bones a plenty, for both.

Halil offered Tariq the wishbone, he put that slimy finger between, leaving little room for Halil.

They closed their eyes to contemplate which that they individually
desired.

Startled by the viscous brawl that ensued between the two dogs who
were earlier, best friends, the bone snapped!

Tariq, by faith or mere accident was holding the larger section and thus the winner.

Halil immediately praised Allah because it was, as he saw it the just decision.

Disclosure was not compulsory for the victor, but Halil was obliged
to reveal his wish.

Before Halil responded, Tariq got up and kicked the dogs away from the carcass.

While doing so, he briefly reflected on his own wish, which was, that whatever Halil requested would not be granted.

Tariq reseated heard what Halil wished for!
"He wished that Tariq would find a fat wallet on the street that night"
