Sometimes, it feels as though I am suffocating
Dying, drowning, being crushed by everything
These moments, though brief they may be, are terrifying
But he takes them away
Pulls me out of this darkness
And drags me back to my sanity, my clarity
How can you tell me to give that up?
How dare you ask of me
To give up the one person
Who keeps me tethered to the rational and the real
