Baptism
I ran away beyond the sea,
With past behind, the waters flowed.
I tried to see what I could find,
As fish danced in the afterglow.
The prayers no longer came to greet
Me, all I knew had disappeared.
Some misfit monsters came and went,
But no one knew itβs what I feared.
The sea life scattered at the sight
Of me, the wind no longer sang.
I bathed in righteous glory,
With hearts of demons in my reign.
I sang of hymns I did not know.
The fire gates began to fade.
My soul became alive once more,
I no longer am afraid.
