Although I only felt the touch of her lips for a split second, it may as well have been an eternity. The warmth of her hug and smile guided me. For the first time, I felt safe; the way a newborn must when in its mothers embrace. The light was no longer off in my life; suddenly I had hope. No person had ever made me feel like this. But she had, and it will stick with me forever. Never as a fleeting memory, but as a piece of my heart and soul, until the day I die. Until the end of time.
