I can still remember
how much of a heart
we were-- when we first met
on that banquet
a night filled with glances
from strangers,
dancing--
then you caught me staring
our bodies fighting
what our eyes have seen
and with just a smile away
my cheeks felt warm
against your rash breathing
I'm holding you in my arms

the night went away
and we're still dancing
under the blankets
that covers our skin
Honestly, I don't know what to label this poem
