Embraced by sheets of azure rain,
that soak my mind's increasing pain;
The raging sky confronts my eyes,
and gathers strength from tears I cry.

Should I have stayed inside the warmth,
bundled up in comfort from the storm ?
But restless thoughts led me away,
to wander through this rain-swept day.

Each perilous wind arouses flames,
within my spirit's shattered remains;
My love has left me in the cold,
alone and lost as I grow old.

Yet when I've stumbled in the past,
my faith had always been steadfast;
The Lord above with mighty powers,
lifted my soul through daunting hours.

A sign appears in colored lights,
as rays of sun now shining bright;
Deliver rainbows from heaven's nest,
which heal the ache inside my chest.
