I know he isn't mine,
even though I'll like,
to believe.
I know he isn't mine,
those words he says to me.
I know he'll never stay,
once she comes back home.
I want him to be mine,
he has my soul,
we share a bed,
we share a life,
yet somehow I know,
he's not mine to fight.
She has his heart,
she has his soul,
she'll never give it back,
it's her's to own.
She left him alone,
lost and out of control,
but I came in to
restore his soul.
I can work day and night,
I can try with all my more,
but I know he isn't mine,
I know I can try,
all I can do is hope,
he sees the light.
