TATTERED WISDOM
I try to keep it 100,
Though not many of you Will.
Watching so many peek,
From Behind that window sill.
Never judge
a book
by it’s pages,
Just look how the bindings are worn.
Does their book
look like a fake,
Or is the cover tattered and torn.
The older ones teach us our wisdom,
But most choose not to follow.
Instead they spread horrible stories,
Their lives are empty and hollow.
I’ll sit and read that old book
Any given day,
I still have much to learn,
And living is the only way.
Gathering all the knowledge,
As I see life through many eyes.
Don’t think I'm simple minded,
Because I listen to all your lies.
People are blind,
Never opening that tattered book.
They are the simple minded,
In the mirror
They need to look.
