Take you back, they say.
Many say you changed.
But I can't there's just too much pain.

Still, they push your case.
Pointing out to me the love you still feel.
Except they fail to see the hurt you left in me.
When you did what you did?
Yes, way back when.

A fool I truly was just giving you my heart.
Rumors were before my face all about you.
So I try to look past them.
Then you went and did what you did?

A love from one to another.
Is a precious gift.
One that's a treasure that no amount of money can measure.
But all I hear from friends.

Is take you back once more.
Why keep score?
When it comes to love.

But I can't because of too much pain.

Just maybe with time.
If in God plans you might once again be mine.
