As I review
My dreams and fears
Now entering
My twilight years
Some were accomplished
It appears
While others
Are in the arrears

As I review
My life thus far
I’ve catapulted
Over the bars
That were placed
In front of me
It’s all part
Of my history

As I look back
It does occur
The many absurdities
As it were
Weren’t just there
By happenstance
Or accidentally
Placed there by chance

As I near the end
And I review
The things that
I have yet to do
Which I regret
This much is true
I’ll get it done
Within the time I accrue
