You passed me at the station
We caught each other’s eye
Hugged and said hi

I was returning and you were heading home
There was damp in the air, autumn well and truly here

I asked how it went, I was leaving you a note
We walked up the street where darkness glares at street lamps as they shimmer on the ground

You told me of bad news as tears interrupted your words

I held you tight and pecked your cheek
Against a fence under the cover of an oak tree
It felt so right

You held me as your lips met mine
Delicate almost slow motion
Lips parted, reunited

You kissed a deeper kiss
Moving to a floor of green
Holding you as lips connect
In unison we lowered to the grass

Kisses came with want
I pulled you in and felt your skin
Under your clothes
Rubbing my hands over your back
