Another day went by
And all she could do was cry
I saw the look in her eyes
And I could tell that she wanted to die

Death is such a fearful thing
But she seemed to be ready
After witnessing such a painful death
Her heart remained unsteady

I reminded her of what she would be missing in life
But she didn't want to hear it
I didn't want to give up on her yet
I had to be persistent and convincing

I knew that this wasn't going to be easy
But it was something I had to do
Imagine you were in the same situation
Wouldn't you want someone to be there for you?

Her dad was her favorite person in the whole world
It's such a shame that he is gone
They used to do everything together
They had such an incredible bond

She was unsure what to do next
She wasn't in the right state of mind
She felt like no one understood her pain
She thought seeking help would be so hard to find

I reminded her that help was only a phone call away
