You're May
You're slipping away

You're sand
Falling through my hand

That slippery June
Went away too soon

Now July
Threatens to die

Agonizing August,
Is by far the shortest,

Two weeks in two lines
Too weak to see the signs

You are going away too
To the north, you

Stopped my heart
More than any other summer part.

I cannot let you go,
and I will not
