Where did the years go
they flew bye like a running deer.
Here I am again my love.
I pay a pilgrimage visit here
every passing summer.

The sand covered road
leading to the old clam bar
on the dunes where we met.
The neon sign outdated
flickering
a thing from the past
just like me now I suppose.

The place is cool and dark inside
the old Wurlitzer is still there.
It takes a dime I hit B17.
Elvis still weeps love me tender.
if I close my eyes
I can still see you

we are close dancing
on the parquet square
I whisper I love you baby girl.
Your hand lifts up into my long hair.
You call me your wild man
God, I miss you, baby
Why did have to go and die?

I sip my ice cold beer.
this place is full of ghost.
two of them are dancing close.
But I think it is us.
Some things last forever
