Now you may know the question But that does not necessarily mean That you have an answer Even though you may think: " What the **** kind of question is 'Am i happy?' " Think again The answer might surprise you It may catch you off guard It may ruin, or make your day I'm not trying to sadden you I'm just asking you To actually sit and think About what might be the complexities In answering such a simple, but weird question For those who already know the answers And are content with the result: 'Are you trying harder Or have you given up?' To those who don't know: 'Do you know now? Or are you confused' It's okay to not know But it's not okay to not act You may hear, day in and day out: "Do this for me, Do that for me" But when was the last time Did that voice resonate From your heart ; Everyone dies one day Nothing is permanent Time has made sure of that So make sure that before you go You are able to answer the aforesaid question In an affirmative Not because I asked you to Not for anyone else But, for yourself
