You can leave now
I've mastered the washing machine
swept, dusted and mopped
kept the **** dishes clean.
I made the bed, changed the sheets
made my midday meal
I'm keeping a stiff upper lip
pretending I still have zeal.
I walked and fed the dog
fed the indifferent cats
cleaned off the front porch
shook out the ***** mats.
Made appointments on my own
with the dentist and the doc
to make sure I got up
I set the ******* clock.
You can leave now
I can be by myself, alone
attending knocks upon the door
answering the ******* phone.
