An old and wise fellow once said, "Don't trust the trees, but pray to its root" We thought the man had lost his head But in his his defense, he was hanging from a tree in a parachute The tree had no pity, and I can tell you why For it was poisonous, and the man soon died The tree then looked at us, and said: "Don't be shy" Was I dreaming? My friend bellowed: "RUN AND HIDE!" Things around us were just an illusion Yet the fear in me seemed too **** real So we came to this abrupt conclusion That maybe we didn't know how to feel I looked above me into the vast, blue sky But it had started to melt down on us because the sun was so bright So I jumped into the lake, an in attempt to fly My friend stayed back; he wanted to put up a fight I had reached a place which had no concept of time The sheep whizzed past, while the llamas crawled like snakes My head hurt; I really craved some lime So I went to the lighthouse to get a few milkshakes An object or a person Can be somewhat judged from their exterior But all that glitters is not always gold Don't mingle with those who make you feel inferior There may be moments when you may feel That you're the unluckiest of the lot But to think and brood is no way to heal You won't know your worth until you give a shot You may choose to live in places that are close To friends and family, or people you feel safe around But they will get annoyed if you're constantly under their nose While trying to please others, don't forget your own hearts sound It's normal when things in life just don't make any sense So just sit and admire the snowdrops and rainflakes Relax, and breathe; try not to get tense Take a time out from life; go grab some milkshakes
