I think many people still care for former lovers.
Much more than they let on.

We all probably know of a good person.
That can't let go.
So they hold on to the good times

And to others this irrrationale is hard to explain.
But to the one loving deeply.
It keeps you from going insane.
That's love.

Maybe one day they will release all the emotion deep within.
And locate another true soul of a lover.
But for now to them.
