Daylight

by ximri

I remember the first time I slept By your side; Before our slumber Our faces, merely inches from each other Examining every perfection So glad of my selection, I turn away, lay my head and rest. I hear your shuffle of body parts As you relax by me, The shale of your body caressing mine I feel warm, safe, My heart is so happy, even still I awake, for you brushed my face Unknowing that you'd wake me I turn and stare Into those oceanic eyes Beautiful ice etched into your Iris'; I look and see The light of day strike through the window Our few moments alone in the earl of the morning, I find my deep love. In you.
