Oh little boat ******* out on the water
To a big pile just out there a way~
How many things you'd do and see
As you float a little out upon the bay~
How your many stories never realized
As you alone simply float out there~
Bobbing up and down within the tide
Within the ocean breeze and salty air~
Many seagulls how they visit daily
Fishes shade and swim there under you~
Planes daily fly so highly over
As you rock back and forth within the blue~
Swimmers often swimming out and back
Resting upon you there for awhile~
Waves wash you so within the storms
Upon you the sunshine dries and smiles~
The rain it falls and cleans you so
Breezes turn you towards a different view~
Your motions portray the rock of ages
And so much you could speak of it is true~
Almost unnoticed noticed you go through every day
As day dies and night it falls~
Many stories you could tell
As favorite sea gull stop and calls~
Passing boats must smile at you
As they pass by within the foam~
******* to a big old pile you might well be
But out there you never are alone~
