I wake in every day light,
In the after memory of us last moonshine,
Falling asleep slowly in each other’s words,
You weren’t familiar with what I felt,
Smiling to the thread of memory,
As you wake up to my chattering you smile back,
And I wonder if I could just tell you how much I love you now,
There seemed no words to be said,
The glimmer in your eyes,
Told me all that I needed to make me feel the lightness,
Of the safety of having you,
Like it made everything all right
