These loose ends

unraveling from me

in the form of words, stanzas,

incoherence in its most creative form

there’s poetry

hanging on my eyelashes

forming goosebumps on my bare shoulders

holding my body together

with words muscle is connected

to tissue to bone

but the letters trail off

just beneath my skin

a thought left unfinished

mumbling wistful things

leaving it all at a dot dot dot

I am made of poetry

loose ends falling from me.
