Memories washed up upon the shore
Only to be pulled back, inharmonious with time
Sticks closer than a brother, hate interchanged with love
Perseverance like no other yet broken down with a single word
Deepest recesses of the mind it harbors,
Hauntingly disappearing from thought
Could not comprehend the romantic felicity of such memories
Never been more alive than the day it occurred
Though believed to be often misconstrued
I hold them holier than thou
