Hope, there is hope, I've seen her with my eyes.
To know hope, one needs not be smart, sharp, nor wise.
One needs to know how to fight, how to fight the good fight.
Because at the end of every tunnel, no matter how dark, there is always light.
Light for the future, the present, the past.
But the light will fade, if one does not act fast.
One must stay strong, plant yourself like a tree
take life's hardships with humor, with glee
because hope, to me, has always been a funny little thing
When we've got nothing it's to hope that we cling.
I don't know much, but I know this to be true.
If I can do it, then certainly so can you.
So hold on to hope, and never let go.
The benefits of this, I promise, will show.
Hope
