Wish I was a man

Something I know that  isn’t in my reach.
I wonder what's it like to be a father.
The dreams I dreamt as a little girl
Flood to me. Wishing to meet
the man that would change my world.
I hate to think that  I am a fatherless daughter.
Another stereotype to pack on the punch.

When i walk and breathe the air
I know there's no safe spaces for girls like me
Im to dark im to free.

I want someone to want me
I wish the man I loved called
The father that spawned me
Never ran away.

I wish I was a man so I wouldn't care.
