May 2018
So much more to them
Than animal
These humans who survive
On half a dollar every day
A god to pray to make them thrive
And feel alive
Sometimes, a vibe
That they describe and can personify
With what lives in
Their mind
Sometimes
A million ways to question why
We weren’t given wings
To fly
So high into the heavens
Where the dreamers go
To say goodbye
