May the wounds of yesterday heal with time,
Something that perhaps we all knew,
For the heart’s matters cast a perfect crime,
Haunting us forever with the memories of you.
Like a scorched heart, scared of being burned,
Again, when we are still wresting past sorrow,
One day, we’ll celebrate the lessons we have learned,
And better ourselves in search for love tomorrow.
