She always walked behind them
As if they did not belong
Embarrassed by their age or greyness
Somehow
There was no heart for holding hands.

But now their space emptied from this world
A silence where a kiss could be
And she wished for all those hours back
So she could walk again with thee.

Love Mary x
For her mother and father with love .***
