Where were you when I needed a friend
Where you were when I had those flowers to send

Where were you when I had that need
Where you were when I had hungers
to feed

Where were you when the night turned dark
Sitting alone in a swing at the park

Pendulum of time swinging to and fro
Just a sliver of moon with its faded glow

There were so many questions I needed to ask
And you made it clear, what was behind that  mask
