Distance

What is distance,

But a plane ride

Or an 11 hour drive to the mountainside.

What is distance?

But miles and state lines,

And sunset and sunrise.

What is distance,

But watching loved ones come and go.

What is distance,

But something you can’t feel or touch;

You can write it and hear it.

Isn’t that good enough?
