she had always wanted to be Joan Crawford
Lucille Fay LeSueur to call the showgirl
by her birth name; winning a contest &
becoming a movie star & later box office
poison; she wants to be futuristic poison;
her heart beats like a ticking gold watch
for the love of Flash Gordon her imaginary
idol; she wants to be Elastic Girl; there
is already a Plastic Girl & once the trend
is over there will be Lucille Fay LeSueur;
the movie star we all remember confusing
her w/ Shakespeare he sits & writes; she
always wanted to be Joan Crawford in
shoulder pads & big hair she knows she
looks familiar she's trying for that look;
1941 girl & her has-been jazz-age poet
both modern & she returns to stripping
he inspired by visions of Marlene Dietrich
