The day started in my eyes
Blood red views from a sleep still in motion
Bitter in the cold of a dawn still fighting a dusk
ravaged by the cool winds of autumn

A look backed by a glance forward
as light betrayed the scene of dying leafs
Slow and gentle brought by the gusts they glided to this earth
ready to become at one at my feet

To the trees so rattled in the after life of russets
this was their dawn this was their day
Stripped to be bare by the black of the night
The smell in the air was ready

Winter's fall was coming and time was moving on
My life seems so much older now
This green has gone all grey
Bones aching for a summer glow
A shell in slow decay

I feel it even more now the dread of winter's day
No magic cream to hide from the cracks of life in hand
No wand to young the age on time this second passed me by
My autumn is here
This is my way in life
Time to change the future a step fall back in time
