marrow
your bones soak in
the subtlety of
falling/
or
your cold, faraway
freedom, your pursed,
sunrise lips/
and
that terraced, sloping worry,
buried in your arms/
more like
your whitish and
weathered rain.
inspired by Emily Carr, local poet from Bend, OR.
