Stepping up to the bar
With Leisure Suits on
And high heeled kicker sneakers

As the spinning glass ball
Revolves round our souls
Freely making Bee Gee believers

Watching guys and gals dance
In their bell bottom flared pants
Silver and gold in fabric

With the tapping of toes
To the highs and the lows
More out of force than habit

We all had the fever
Saturday night believers
Revolting with Travolta

On the lit up dance floors
All stars of course
Cause this ain't your mamas salsa

All kings and queens
Of the late 70's
Dancing feet being our treasure

Day after day
It's how we'd escape
Into Donna's Summer time pleasure

Back then I suppose
We had no way to know
How deep would be the dive

When the world as a whole
All thumbed their nose
As new Wave ate disco alive

Where we step up to the bar
With black tie and shades dark...
